Gibraltar is a British overseas territory located on the southern end of the Iberian Peninsula. Gibraltar has an area of only 6.8 square kilometres and its only border (northern border) with Spain.
Gibraltar Airport (also called North Front Airport) is very exceptional in many ways. Also civilian airport is owned by the Ministry of Defence and Royal Air Force uses same airport. Gibraltar Airport has a very central location and there is walking distance to the airport from the center. Central location means also that runway of of Gibraltar Airport intersects with Winston Churchill Avenue. New roads and tunnel, which will end the need to stop the traffic, should already be completed but there has been dalays.
EasyJet flies cheap flights to Gibraltar from Liverpool and London Gatwick airports.
